On July 31, 2021, Katrina headed to the pool at her apartment complex in Midland, Texas. It just so happened that the pool was closed for maintenance that day, so she and a friend headed to another complex across the street hoping for better luck. That’s where they ran into Will. Katrina knew she liked this guy when he stuck his prosthetic foot in the pool and yelled “wow, it’s cold”.

Later that same evening at the Buffalo Nickel, a local bar, Will decided that Katrina was his girlfriend now and told her so. Naturally, Katrina said "okay". The next morning, Katrina thought surely she’d never hear from or see that guy again until she got a text saying “hey, it’s your boyfriend”. They went on their first date three days later and have been inseparable ever since. In January 2024, Will surprisingly asked Katrina to marry him instead of the expected "you're my fiancée now".

They've had the happiest three years of jokes, dog parenting, traveling, and loving one another, so now it's time to go ahead and get the government involved. Their mutual love of beach vacations, hanging out with friends, and having a drink or two makes a destination wedding the perfect way to tie the knot!
